Crockfords Las Vegas at Resorts World – My Amex FHR Stay Review

Stay dates: November 10–11, 2025 • Booked: Strip View Superior King • Upgraded to: Crockfords West Tower City-View One-Bedroom Suite

Bottom line up front: Crockfords delivers a private, genuinely five-star experience inside a mega-resort—making it one of the best values you can unlock with Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts (FHR). My one-night stay felt intimate and polished from curb to checkout, with a meaningful upgrade and easy ways to use the included credits.

Why I Booked Crockfords with Amex FHR

My nightly rate priced at $286 + resort fee & tax. Thanks to my Amex Business Platinum Hotel Credit, my room and tax were covered, and the FHR benefits added real value on top:

  • Property credit: $100 Resort Experience Credit (usable at a list of on-property outlets)
  • Daily breakfast for two: up to $66 at Sun’s Out Buns Out or Junior’s
  • Noon check-in when available (I arrived after 4pm, so didn’t need it)
  • 4pm guaranteed late checkout (available through FHR; not needed for my one-night stay)
  • Welcome amenity: two complimentary glasses of champagne at the lobby bar (I passed)
  • Upgrade at check-in when available: I was moved from a Strip View Superior King to a West Tower City-View One-Bedroom Suite

Private Arrival & Check-In

Crockfords has its own secluded gate and private valet, tucked away from the main Resorts World traffic. Rolling up felt more residential than casino. The lobby is gorgeous, subtly scented, and—most importantly—uncrowded. Check-in was quick and smooth, and the interaction felt intimate and five-star despite being attached to a massive property.

The One-Bedroom Suite: Space, Finish & Details

The 850 sq ft one-bedroom layout is thoughtfully divided: a living room with a door that fully separates it from the bedroom. The design language reads modern-luxury without feeling cold.

  • Living room: pull-out sofa, plenty of lounge seating, 55″ TV, separate powder room
  • Conveniences: personal fridge next to a stocked mini-bar, Nespresso machine, and a Therabody massage gun
  • Bedroom: plush bedding and enough space to truly spread out
  • Bath: a striking center-placed soaking tub, rainfall shower, dual vanities, and beautifully lit marble finishes (the floor lighting that activates as you walk by is a great touch)
  • Amenities: BYREDO Mojave Ghost products, plus a generous amenity set (manicure kit with clippers, dental kits, mouthwash, cotton swabs, loofah, makeup remover, and more)

Between the lighting, finishes, and amenities, the suite reads five-star. The real differentiator is having a true door between the living space and bedroom—great for son traveling with us.

Dining, Breakfast & How I Used the Credits

FHR Breakfast at Junior’s

The FHR breakfast benefit (up to $66) can be used at Junior’s or Sun’s Out Buns Out. We chose Junior’s. My Wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and I the Lumberjack (pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, toast). The total came to $69 before tip. Verdict: good, not amazing—but convenient and perfect for leveraging the benefit.

Using the $100 Resort Experience Credit

I spread the property credit across Alle Lounge on 66 and Wally’s:

  • Alle Lounge on 66: incredible views; the cookie butter espresso martini was a hit

Facilities & Atmosphere

I didn’t make it to the pool or spa on this quick stay. The casino vibe struck a nice balance: not overcrowded but still lively. Compared with the other Resorts World towers (Hilton and Conrad), Crockfords felt notably more exclusive, private, and quiet—exactly the point of choosing this tower.

Service & Staff

Service throughout the stay was attentive and personalized—precisely what you expect from a five-star brand. There weren’t singular “wow” moments; rather, it was a consistent thread of polished touches from arrival to checkout.

Location, Parking & EV Charging

Crockfords sits toward the north end of the Strip. It’s a bit removed from center-Strip chaos but still practical—about a quick hop to Wynn and Fashion Show Mall (roughly 15 minutes depending on how you travel). I used both self-parking and valet during the stay; as a local, my self-parking was complimentary. There are EV charging stations on site, though I struggled to get them working—something to be aware of if you’re arriving with low charge.

Value & Who It’s For

Between the upgrade, breakfast, and the $100 credit, Amex FHR delivered clear value—and the Business Platinum Hotel Credit effectively covered my room and tax. If you want a quiet, private five-star experience while keeping the convenience of a full mega-resort at your doorstep, Crockfords is a standout choice. I’d happily return and recommend it to luxury travelers who prioritize service and serenity over center-Strip bustle.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Secluded private valet and quiet, elegant lobby
  • Meaningful FHR upgrade to a one-bedroom suite
  • Spacious layout with separate living room and powder room
  • BYREDO Mojave Ghost amenities + generous in-room extras
  • Multiple outlets to burn the $100 credit without friction
  • Attentive, personalized service

Cons

  • North-Strip location won’t suit center-Strip loyalists
  • EV chargers were finicky during my visit
  • FHR breakfast at Junior’s was fine rather than memorable

How to Maximize Amex FHR at Crockfords

  1. Arrive early if you can: Noon check-in is “when available,” and FHR’s 4pm late checkout is guaranteed—great for weekenders. I checked in after 4pm, but early arrivals may snag more upgrade options.
  2. Target midweek for value: My $286 rate plus FHR perks was a sweet spot. Midweek often improves upgrade odds.
  3. Plan your $100 credit: If you’re short on time, Alle Lounge on 66 + Wally’s is an easy two-stop strategy.
  4. Use the breakfast benefit smartly: Prices at Junior’s can exceed $66 for two—order strategically or expect a small overage.
  5. Leverage the separate living room: The one-bedroom layout is ideal if someone in your party turns in early.
  6. Driving? Confirm EV charger status on arrival and don’t arrive on empty.
  7. Compare towers: If you want true quiet and service, choose Crockfords over Conrad/Hilton.

Final Take

Crockfords nails the “private hotel within a mega-resort” brief: quiet where you want it, lively when you want it, and service that consistently feels five-star. With Amex FHR benefits and an upgrade to a one-bedroom suite, this was an easy yes for me—and a property I’d book again for a refined Vegas stay.
